Frequently asked questions
Do I need a full landscape design, or can I just plant some things?
If you're planting one bed, hire a good garden center. If you're designing a whole yard around a new pool, patio, or pavilion, invest in real design — otherwise the planting will fight the hardscape instead of finishing it.
What plants work best around pools?
Species with clean drop, non-invasive roots, and low mess — most pool surrounds do well with ornamental grasses, boxwood, hydrangea, and select evergreens. We avoid heavy fruiters, invasive-root trees, and anything that sheds constantly.
Can you screen a neighbor with plantings?
Yes. Fast-growing evergreen screens (arborvitae, Green Giant, cryptomeria, holly) or layered mixed screens are one of the most common requests we handle. On sloped Chester County properties we often pair with a retaining wall.
Do you maintain what you plant?
Our focus is design and installation, not weekly maintenance. We install with sufficient soil prep, mulch, and irrigation guidance to give the planting the best possible start.
